The Edinburgh Singing Studio is run by Catriona Clark. Catriona graduated with distinction from boththe Royal College of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with an Advanced PGDiploma in Concert Singing and a Masters Degree in Operatic Studies. Catriona is currently a vocal lecturer at Napier University, vocal consultant for The Edinburgh Singers and Professional Vocal Consultant for the classical singers at Edinburgh Napier Junior Department.
Catriona has experience of teaching many styles including opera, classical, musical theatre and pop. Whatever your background and interest, Catriona encourages a healthy approach to voice production, confidence and enjoyment of performance. Catriona has successfully entered many of her students into ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School exams and has a 100% pass record with the majority of her students gaining merits and distinctions. Catriona is fully CRB checked.
Beginners Tuition
These lessons will focus on getting the most out of your voice by working breathing, the ability to hold notes, pitching accurately and extending your range. These techniques will then be applied to songs you enjoy singing. New variedrepertoire will also be suggested
Intermediate and Professional Tuition
These lessons will be individually tailored to you needs, focussing on developing vocal technique, stamina, flexibility, stage presence, interpretation of lyrics and development of expression to suit the style of the music you are singing. These lessons can help to prepare you for important auditions and help you deal with the demands of a singing career and allow you to sing for longer without vocal fatigue.
